Text/HTML 1st North Greece Security Forum ELECTRONIC CRIME Computer and Telecommunication Systems Security Capsis Hotel Thessaloniki 15th & 16th March 2005 The development of computers, the dependence of our modern society activities on them and also the extensive use of the telecommunication networks and the internet, apart from having the huge benefits, they have also created serious and dangerous risks.   Electronic crime and telecommunication fraud are becoming often the reason for great financial and other loss to companies and organizations. The aim of this Conference is to inform the participants and to analyse the following complex issues and their repercussions:   Personal data are being exposed and this has serious legal and financial effects.   The goal of the conference is the participants to be informed and understand the recent problems and the effects caused by:   Attacks through the internet The financial losses and the problems due to telecommunication fraud. The dangers from bad or malicious computer use within a company or an organization. The legal and issues related to the above. Finally the methods, the ways and the tools to encounter these problems   Eminent speakers (from Greece and other European countries) with good knowledge of the matters and problems will present and propose methods, tools and solutions.
